Curious about most things, he is always alert, especially when it comes to new items or areas.

Appearance: About 6 foot tall with slender build. Not hard to see what he is, like humans, the catfolks are also different from each other. He looks like a jaguar with orange skin with black spots.with yellow eyes. Dressed in a special shiny armor, armed with a dagger sheathed on each thigh and a bow at his back.

Trait#1: Courageous: +2 trait bonus on saving throws against fear effects.
Trait#2: Natural Climber: +2 trait bonus on Acrobatics and Climb checks while climbing trees.
Background: Growing up, Routher was always a wanderer, as a child, he always needed someone to watch over him, otherwise, he be missing and they would have to send a search party, but he was always safe, just exploring he used to say.

As he got older, he became a good tracker and scout. He never bothered with swords much, preferred to use his claws instead, which does about the same amount of damage as swords anyway, and if he needed a range weapon, he had his trusting bow. He was a decent ranger. During his travels he came upon a Monastery, he stuck around for a while, curious. Good thing he did, a monk showed him his bow and he was good at it, called himself a Zen Archer. Granted, Routher didn’t know much about monks and he never though they used a bow, he always heard they used only their fists, legs and fancy weapons. Being a Zen Archer got his attention, any time he could improve his bowmanship, he was all for it, and besides that, he also needed to be taught how to fight better with his claws if he was going against someone with a sword, that had a better reach, so his training helped him improve.

Ever curious like a cat, he always tried new things, traveled differently, to see which was better, easier, safer, harder, etc. He made his way across Sellen River and into another set of forests. Some folks he met on the way were friendly, some not so much. Then of course, he came across foul creatures like goblins and orcs and other beings. His kind dealt with kobolds and didn’t mind them so much as long as they didn’t enter their land. Goblins were….well, gross in just about everything they did. The orcs…they were a different matter, his people found them disgusting, destroying everything in their path, and for what? Enjoyment? Rotten creatures they were.

He been a guide many times and enjoyed it. Leading people to their destination was fun, getting to travel, see new sights, meeting new folks. Going solo once again, he came across Darkmoon Wood, met some fey that were very protective of their forest. Luckily, he could speak Sylvan and talked to them, they got along well with each other. He was different than other races, almost part of nature, which was why the Fey let him be. He came across some loggers. Humans. Routher shook his head. They cut down many trees, but do not plant to replace what they took. No wonder Fey folk were angry.

He watched for a couple of days and saw a couple of halflings. They had entered the woods to plant trees that the human loggers had taken. Catfolk and Halflings have always got along well. Halflings and Elves were prime friends of the Catfolk, so he approached the two little fellows and found that was going on. One of them, named Boram, Routher became good friends with. Boram told him about Falcon’s Hollow and that was the name of the town and about various creatures would become bothersome. Tired of traveling for a bit, he decided to stay a while, and earned his keep. Hunting food and tracking down creatures. Nice little town, but not enough females though. They had a small brothel, but only a handful of women. Once a month he would pay a visit, while some only welcomed him for his coin, others were actually glad to see him, like the human girl Rachel, a pretty thing. Being alone with no family, it was the job she could find. He kinda felt sorry for her. Who knows, when he ever moved on, he might take her along. He wasn’t sure how long he would stay, but so far, he liked the little town, it wasn’t like a city which he didn’t much like anyway, always dirty and smelling. He decided to make himself at home and made some more friends like Hawke, a half-elf that was also a ranger and they hunted together many times. While he did spend some time in town, getting to know folks, he preferred to spend the night in the forest, while the rooms were nice, he just felt boxed in, although Rachel helped with that on occasions. Well, except when it rains, especially a downpour, cats hated to get wet after all, although light rain was fine.

He became not just a hunter and gatherer for the town but its protector as well, with the creatures out there, you can never have enough protection
