I guess I'm missing something. The valves on my coach were not that difficult to replace. As the photo shows, the side panel is easily removed and the valves are just behind it. I had a shop change them last time because I'm not as agile as I once was.

Ugh. I read your account a few weeks back. I guess I need to try to remove those 4 bolts and see if I can get it to budge.

I too had to remove the whole panel. Mine is stainless so will reuse that. I just need to replace the rusted bolts and screws with stainless now.

We recently replaced our black and grey tank dump valves due to the black one starting to leak. It was not an easy fix on our 1995 Serengeti. We had to remove the entire water service area board where the handle to the valves come through. The two bottom bolts on the black valve were not going to come off with any persuasion whatsoever so...rotozip to the rescue and the bolts were bored out. It did cause some damage to the flange and needed a few washers to make it secure again. We then replaced the actual water service board after using the original as a template. Several coats of white paint and we put it back together. We need to do some caulking and trimming but is holding up well..fingers crossed. Not a fun job for us so I hope your is easier. Good thing is..the valves themselves are fairly inexpensive but if you have to pay to have it done, it is going to cost you. My husband and our neighbor, at the campground where we were staying, did the job and all totaled...probably took about 10 hours..but we ran into a few problems.

It is beginning to seem like every hour on the road, results in an hour of repair work. Like a helicopter. Depressing.

I just got back with the family from a road trip from Phoenix, AZ to Yellowstone and back. The list of repairs:

1. Hyrdo hot water leak
2. Water leak with front slide out
3. Toilet smelling
4. Bathroom door handle loose (again)
5. Washing machine will not cycle properly
6. Kitchen back splash loose
7. Trim on front slide out is dragging on the floor
8. Basem*nt door is out of adjustment... won't open or shut correctly
9. Water pump started leaking on last leg home.
10. Chassis AC leaks and we can not find the leak!!! GAH!!
11. black and grey water valves are leaking
12. Front jack foot broke off when we were taking weight off wheels in the back yard.
13. Right rear seal leaking. Could smell hot oil on long hills. I see small amounts of oil on the rotor. :(
14. Kitchen door frame falling apart.

1. hoses are dry rotting. I have one replaced. Now to see if that stops the leak.
2. This is leaking past that white rubber seal. There are places where it is gapping. I thought about taking some waxed paper and slipping it in there. Then taking some silicone caulking and making a fairly thin seal in those areas. What do you guys think? Waste of time?
3. I'm sure the gasket it bad. Last one, was cut through. I was told from over tightening.
4. Worn out junk....
5. This one will take some trouble shooting.

7. Not sure why this happening, but I can trim it up an 1/8".

9. My pump is a 3.5gpm 45psi Shurflo pump. Anybody have any recent experience? Recommendations? I found a replacement part, but I want to order a new one so I have a spare.

11. This looks like a royal pain. I've removed the panel to get to it, but I'm not sure how they remove. Did I see someone working on one of these recently?
12. This one may be costly. I'm hoping that foot is just held in place by the springs. Will have to jack the coach up and take a look see tomorrow.

13. Anybody know anything about the axles on these 2001 Panthers? I'm wondering if the axle is a floating axle, or if it is held in place inside the pumpkin. IF it is a floating axle, then seal replacement should be very simple. I don't know the make of it or anything yet.

14. I've glued about 6 doors so far. It looks like the glue process was poor at best. They just come apart like they have never been glued. Wierd. Anyone else seeing this?
