"Ginny" Haines, devoted daughter, beloved sister and doting aunt died Monday, November 19, 2007, following a long illness.

Ginger 74, of Dr. Marc C. and Viola D. Bluem Haines, was born and resided in Oshkosh. She graduated from Oshkosh High School and attended Northwestern University Secretarial School, formerly, the Gregg Secretarial School.

She was a legal secretary and worked with firms throughout the area. Ginger loved Oshkosh, its history, development and politics. Friendships she made during her school years were dear to her, as well as those she made during her career and retirement. Her natural talent for musical theatre was obvious and is remembered by those fortunate to have seen her in numerous local productions. She is survived by her sister, Carla Baier (Curt), Appleton; and three nieces: Linda Baier Manwell, Madison, children: Matthew and Marissa; Claudia Baier (Thomas Jackson), Chicago and daughter, Aleksa; Dr.

Leslie Baier (Dr. Clifton Bogardus), Phoenix, daughters: Lauren and Jordin; and nephew, Mark Baier (Cynthia), Minneapolis, daughters: Alexandra and Haylee. Ginger was devoted to her family and will be missed by them. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Church, 434 W.

South Park Avenue, on Friday, November 23, 2007, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. William Van De Kreeke celebrant. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service.

Schmidt, age 85, formerly of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

Earl was born on December 15, 1921, in Appleton, the son of the late Erwin and Mary (Brooks) Schmidt. Earl was a Veteran of the United States Marines and served from 1942 until 1946. On October 12, 1946, he married Lois M. Berholtz in Appleton. Earl loved to build things and even built their first home in Appleton.

He worked at Wisconsin Wires Inc. for 38 years until retiring in 1984. He spent his retirement at his home on Shawano Lake. Earl enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and most of all, golf. Earl is survived by his wife, Lois; four children: Steve (Pat) Schmidt of Hazelhurst, Marty (Sue) Schmidt of Hortonville, Lori (Jim Anthony) Schmidt of New London, David Schmidt of Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren: Greg (Dawn) Schmidt of Green Bay, Tony (Nici) Schmidt of Woodruff, Matthew Schmidt of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph Schmidt of the U.S.

Navy stationed in San Diego, CA; and two greatgrandchildren, Olivia Kay and Addison Kathryn. Earl is further survived by a sister, Billie Altergott of Kiln, MS; brother, Lloyd Schmidt of Storrs, CT; uncle, Harold Brooks of Appleton; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was born May 22, 1922, Kotilva, Ukraine, the daughter of Cyryl and Anna (Szklar) Puszkalowa. Wara was married to Stefan Suszko who preceded her in death on October 3, 1959. She and her late husband came to the Waushara County area in the early 1950's.

They farmed for a number of years in the Town of Wautoma prior to her husband's death. Later, she worked at Camp Waushara and Peck'sPlantation for many years. Wara loved making quilts, canning, gardening, and fishing.
